The Stabbur

The “Stabbur” is a characteristic small two story building that was used for food storage in the old days. Now it contains an upstairs bedroom with two beds with a very nice view of the river, and a common room with simple kitchen facilities downstairs.

The Teahouse

Previously used for growing summer tomatoes, the greenhouse which stands next to the Stabburet has taken on a new multicultural form. Here one can, on a chilly evening, put on a music CD of his choice, light up the Mexican outdoor fireplace, brew a good cup of tea in a samovar or prepare a waterpipe for smoking Iranian tobacco. When the greenhouse is warm all that is left to do is sip a cup of tea while taking in a beautiful Norwegian sunset or just the shifting of the evening light which is can play on the senses to release a range of emotions from satisfaction to melancholy to just good old joy.
